SASabrina Ayat is currently employed by Motor Design Ltd while doing research in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol. She obtained her Bachelor degree and first Master degree in Electrical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Electricité et de Mécanique (ENSEM) of Nancy, France, and was awarded her second Master degree (M.Sc) in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology of Atlanta, United States. Her research as an ADEPT Marie Curie research fellow focuses on the thermal analysis and losses for E-propulsion.

FCFabien Chauvicourt is a PhD student in Siemens Industry Software NV (LMS). He obtained his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 from the University of Technology of Compiègne, France. The thesis was conducted in Siemens SAS and was about Noise and Vibrations in their new metro called NeoVAL. His current research within the KU Leuven, Belgium, deals with vibro-acoustic simulation in electric motors.

MCMitrofan Curti is part of ADEPT project as a Ph.D. student at Eindhoven Universtiy of Technology. After obtaining his bachelor degree in electromechanics from the Technical University of Moldova, he continued with master studies and graduated from Warsaw Universtiy of Technology at Electrical Engineering Faculty, Electrical Drives Division. His master thesis is about speed estimation of an induction motor with a neural network trained by backpropagation and customised algorithm.

NDNenad Djukic is part of ADEPT project as a Marie Curie early stage researcher at Advanced Electromagnetics BV in the Netherlands, and he is enrolled as an external PhD at TU/e in Eindhoven. He obtained his Master’s degree at University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Serbia, majoring in Power electronics and electrical machines. From 2010 until 2014, he was working as an electrical design engineer at ATB Sever in Subotica, Serbia, in the department for research and development of synchronous machines.

ADArkadiusz Dziechciarz is part of ADEPT project as a Marie Curie early stage researcher at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania.He obtained his degree in electrical engineering from Cracow University of Technology in Poland where he worked as an assistant after graduating.His research will focus on multiphysics modeling of synchronous reluctance machines.

KNKorawich Niyomsatian is part of ADEPT project as a Marie Curie early stage researcher at Triphase NV in Leuven, Belgium, and he is enrolled as an external PhD student at Université libre de Bruxelles. He obtained his Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 and 2011 respectively from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. His master thesis was about establishing the novel topologies for three-level back-to-back converters based on the theory of matrix converters. Also, he had an experience in industrial project to develop the sensorless vector-control drive for PMSM spindle motor to reduce the vibration of hard disk. His research will focus on control architectures to electrically interface with wide-bandgap SiC and GaN devices for power conversion application.

WPWei Peng contributes the ADEPT project as an early stage researcher at Université libre de Bruxelles. She obtained her Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Shenyang University of Technology (China) and continued her studies in the Kyungsung University (South-Korea) and Shenyang University of Technology (China), obtained her dual master degree in Mechatronics Engineering and Electric Machines and Electric Apparatus respectively. Her master thesis is about design and control of a novel bearingless switched reluctance motor with double stator. In the frame of ADEPT she will focus on switched reluctance motor (SRM) modelling and fault tolerant control

KRKesavan Ramakrishnan is a PhD student at department of mechanical engineering in Politecnico di Milano, Italy. In ADEPT, his research focus is on electric vehicle traction and regenerative braking power management. He completed his bachelors from National Institute of Technology-Trichy (NITT), India and masters from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), USA. He has an extensive experience in the area of powertrain with leading automotive OEMs like Honda, Volvo, and Mahindra and Mahindra.Research

PRPietro Romanazzi is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. David A. Howey at Oxford University – UK. He studied at the Università degli studi di Udine where he earned Laurea Triennale in Mechanical Engineering in November 2009 and Laurea Specialistica in Mechanical Engineering in July 2011. His final theses dealt with Thermo-Fluid Dynamic numerical simulations and the research works focused on the prediction of surface shear stress and surface instabilities in single/multi-fluid domains using custom and commercial CFD algorithms. He worked at his master thesis at the Brunel University London, as an Erasmus student, under the supervision of Prof. Luiz Wrobel. Between August 2011 and February 2014 he worked as a Project Manager for Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A., a global leader in the manufacture of steelmaking plants.
He is now part of the ADEPT project as a Marie Curie research fellow working on thermal analysis of electrical machines.

GSGeorgios E. Sfakianakis was born in Athens, Greece. He received the M.Sc. degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece in 2013.

He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at Eindhoven University of Technology. During 2012 - 2013, he was at KTH Royal Institute of Technology for nine months, where he was involved in working on his diploma thesis. He worked at ABB Corporate Research, Vasteras, Sweden, for nine months (2013-2014) as an Associated Scientist within the Electric Power Systems group. His research is focused on power electronics for advanced electric powertrain technologies.

ASAndrii Stefanskyi is a PhD student in the Department of Microelectronics and Computer Science at the Lodz University of Technology (Politechnika Łódzka), Lodz, Poland. He is working under the supervision of Prof. Andrzej Napieralski and Dr Lukasz Starzak. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, Ukraine, in 2012 and 2013, respectively. His research as an ADEPT Marie Curie research fellow focuses on the modelling of advanced E-power electronic devices and circuits with special emphasis on silicon carbide and power dissipation.

SSDr. Stjepan Stipetic contributes ADEPT project as a Marie Curie experienced researcher (PostDoc) at Motor Engineer in France. He received Dipl. Ing degree and PhD degree from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in 2008. and 2014. respectively. His research as an ADEPT Marie Curie research fellow focuses on collaborative web based virtual powertrain development environment.

AntonAnton Tamas is an early stage researcher of ADEPT project at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and at Maccon GmbH, Germany. He followed the courses of Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and he graduated in 2013. In the same year he started the master program of Advanced Electric Systems and Structures which he graduated in 2015. His research will focus on different control strategies for Synchronous Reluctance Machine with automotive applications.

SWSimon Wiedemann is part of the ADEPT project as a Marie Curie research fellow at the Technical University of Munich and Maccon GmbH. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and continued his studies at the Newcastle University, completing the Postgraduate Course on Electrical Power. His research will focus on Autotuning and Adaptive Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines.
