Korawich Niyomsatian is part of ADEPT project as a Marie Curie early stage researcher at Triphase NV in Leuven, Belgium, and he is enrolled as an external PhD student at Université libre de Bruxelles. He obtained his Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 and 2011 respectively from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. His master thesis was about establishing the novel topologies for three-level back-to-back converters based on the theory of matrix converters. Also, he had an experience in industrial project to develop the sensorless vector-control drive for PMSM spindle motor to reduce the vibration of hard disk. His research will focus on control architectures to electrically interface with wide-bandgap SiC and GaN devices for power conversion application.
